(almost) success! {bookshelf love}

I almost completed my reading challenge before Christmas! I gave myself 14 weeks to read these 10 books, from September 19 to December 25, and I read nine of them--which, honestly, is more than I had expected to finish. Unfortunately, I've only written one review so far, so all titles except The Unexpected Dragon link to Goodreads.

Airs Beneath the Moon by Toby Bishop
The Unexpected Dragon by Mary Brown
Falling from Horses by Molly Gloss
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
City of Dragons by Robin Hobb
I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai

Did you participate in any reading challenges in 2016? How did you do? What are your reading goals this year?

  1. I have been trying to make my reading goal of 48 books for the past two years. In 2015 I read 38 and this year it was 36, but I'm shooting for 48 again in 2017 and hoping to make it. I really need to clean out some room on my bookshelves. :)

    1. 36 is still a lot of books! Good luck with your reading goal this year--I hope you finally reach it! :) Gah, and do I understand the need to make more room on the bookshelves...

  2. Good for you!!!! That's a lot of books! I generally don't do reading challenges, because reading is my fun/enjoyment/relax time... I love it so much, and I don't want to make it something I have to check off my list. (I'm too competitive for this!!) but I love following along as other people read through their TBRs!

    1. Thanks, and I totally agree! This is the only reading challenge I've done (that I can remember...), and both times I did it was because I needed to get books off my shelves by a specific time, due to moving and/or limited space. Otherwise, I feel the same as you do! :)

  3. I'd absolutely love to read the Harry Potter series again but I have 44 books to read. I'll try and get them done this year. That's about a book a week. I'll try my best. ^_^
