just a note

Hello friends, don't forget to let me know what you like about poetree and/or what you would like to see in the future by voting on my handy little poll! I'll leave it up until the end of next week (thank you to those who have already participated!). :)

not lava cake, but still delicious
To expand on some of the options: if I were to start posting recipes, it would be something that happens, at most, weekly. I like using whole foods and am a huge supporter of farmer's markets, so many of the recipes would follow that theme. However, I also have a great weakness for chocolate and all things sugar (slow cooker lava cake, anyone?).

Another option on the poll is tree trivia/identification. I really enjoy learning tree species, and would love to share that knowledge with you--if you're interested, of course. I would post an image of a leaf, and possibly one of the matching bark or other identifiers, along with the common and scientific name and maybe some fun facts. Again, this would be an occasional thing, perhaps weekly.

Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis)
Everything else in the poll has already shown up in some form or other on this blog, so I don't feel the need to explain them. :) Let me know your thoughts through the poll, and if you ever have any other questions, comments, ideas, etc. please don't hesitate to let me know! You can always email me or message me on Facebook or Goodreads. If I don't get many poll results, I'll start experimenting (mwahaha).

Finally, I apologize for the lack of book reviews lately. :/ I've been beta reading a very long, very good book, and haven't had time for much else. Keep an eye on this guy. He's got some amazing stuff coming your way.

  1. In the poll I voted for book reviews, but honestly, photos are always welcome and the tree trivia/identification would actually be really cool since I embarrassingly know nothing about them. Also, it's not like it's unrelated to your blog (poetree), so why not? :)
I've also been taking a really long time to read a book that I should probably be done by now, so I know what it feels like!
    Also, that cake looks yummy.

    1. Thanks for the feedback, Hanna! I'm such a slow reader anyway, so when I get into an exceptionally long book, it seems like it takes me forever. The cake is a chocolate coconut pecan cake that I made either for mother's day or my mom's birthday a few years back and, sadly, I haven't made it since. It's definitely the prettiest thing I've ever baked. :)
