My Review: This book gets five stars for plot, but only two for character development. It's very original and kept my interest, although the lack of character development made the first half of the book drag a bit. The characters began to fill out more in the second half, and I had a hard time putting the book down.
Auralia is an intriguing though surprisingly distant/mysterious main character, while supporting characters have more depth to them, and are therefore the people the reader connects with. If I can find the rest of the series at the library or very cheap, I may very well read them. Overall, a good read.
